How FarmShare Works
FarmShare has cultivated partnerships with farmers and producers throughout the Northeast Ohio region to grow, harvest, and deliver the freshest, most flavorful fruits, vegetables, and locally made foods available. We also work with local bakers, beekeepers, and artisan food producers to offer a variety of wholesome and delicious, Ohio-made foods. We make a seasonal commitment to our farmers and producers that ensures our subscribers top-notch quality and variety throughout the growing season.
Each weekly FarmShare delivery includes:
• A hand-picked harvest of seasonal vegetables (6-8 varieties in quantities for 2-4 people);
• Seasonal selections of vine-ripened fruits & berries like fresh blueberries, juicy Red Haven peaches, just-picked raspberries, heirloom apples;
• Fresh culinary herbs: fresh basil, rosemary, tarragon, parsley and more;
• Fresh-baked, artisan bread: varieties include French Baguette, Italian, Multigrain, Whole Wheat, Walnut Raisin, Semolina, and more;
• Weekly FarmShare Preview email - a sneak peak of the upcoming delivery so you know what to expect;
• Our FarmShare Kitchen newsletter: a bounty of seasonal recipes and tips to make the most of your FarmShare;
• FarmShare tote bag (seasonal subscriptions only) and; • Delivery to FarmShare pickup location.
Additional products available for purchase on a weekly basis including: locally made cheeses, organic flour and grains, Ohio honey, maple syrup and preserves, wholesome whole grain snacks, and more.
Weekly deliveries range in size from 8-15lbs -- slightly lighter in the early season, and heavier with the autumn bounty. Quantities are sized to provide for a household of 2-4 people who cook frequently. Larger families and voracious vegetarians may wish to purchase additional shares.
Smaller households, singles, or those who cook less frequently may prefer to share a FarmShare subscription with a colleague, friend, or neighbor.
FarmShare offers convenient pick-up locations throughout the greater Cleveland area. Seasonal subscribers return their FarmShare tote bags when picking up each weekly delivery.
